Fulham striker Raul Jimenez has taken to social media to send a message to Wolves fans, after coming back to Molineux again last night.
Wolves lost 2-1 to the Cottagers, with Wanderers conceded inside the first minute of each half.
It was a frustrating performance from Wolves after the win over Bournemouth, and we will now see if Ipswich Town and Leicester City will be able to close the gap.
Marco Silva admitted Wolves had all of the ball, but added the hosts didn’t create any chances of doing anything meaningful with their possession.
Vitor Pereira and his players now need to bounce back, with Bournemouth up next in the FA Cup this weekend.
After last night’s game, Wolves fans applauded Raul Jimenez and Adama Traore as they stood in the centre circle, and then sang ‘Si Senior’ for the Mexican.
Today, the player has sent a message to fans on social media.
Fulham striker Raul Jimenez sends message to Wolves fans after warm welcome at Molineux

Raul Jimenez has now faced Wolves three times since he left the club in the summer of 2023.
But last night was the first time he has actually taken to the pitch at Molineux to face Wolves.
On Fulham’s previous visit to Molineux, Jimenez had missed out on playing thanks to a hamstring injury.
Last night, he started on the bench, and replaced Rodrigo Muniz on 72 minutes.
Jimenez did have one great chance to score against his old club, but was denied from a tight angle by Jose Sa. Wolves fans would like to hope that he would not have celebrated had that gone in.
It was clear from the scenes last night that the Wolves faithful still hold Jimenez dear – and the feeling is mutual.
Today, Jimenez posted on Instagram after he was applauded and serenaded at Molineux, writing on Instagram: “First time at Molineux as opponents, lots of great memories. Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome.
“Also happy for the team performance and getting the 3 points! ⚽️ 🐺 🦡 🟡 ⚪️⚫️”
Jimenez is a modern-day Wolves legend
It was a frustrating result and performance last night, but it was nice to see Jimenez get a great reception.
Some don’t feel it was appropriate given the fact Wolves lost the game.
Raul Jimenez for Wolves |
Appearances – 166 |
Goals – 57 |
Assists – 23 |
But this was a player who gave his all for Wolves and developed into one of the most feared number nines around before his head injury.
Jimenez is still Wolves’ record goalscorer in the Premier League, and scored 57 in 166 games for the club.
He gave fans many brilliant memories, and given his fairly low-key exit from the club thanks to Julen Lopetegui, it was nice to see him receive the affection of the Wolves fans.
