Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Max Kilman has spoken after the departure of Julen Lopetegui and the appointment of new boss Gary O’Neil.
Spaniard Lopetegui left the club on Wednesday, just a few days before the start of the new Premier League season.
The 56-year-old reached an agreement to leave, having felt the club moved the goalposts with their communications to him regarding the club’s financial situation and new signings.
Former Sevilla boss Lopetegui felt he would have free reign to bring new players to Molineux this summer, however, was informed at the end of the season that it would no longer be possible.
Wolves have since wasted no time in replacing the experienced boss, with the appointment of former Bournemouth head coach Gary O’Neil.

What has Max Kilman said about the appointment?
Kilman, who joined the club in 2018, will now be playing under his fourth different manager during his time at Molineux.
The former Maidenhead United defender admits it’s been a difficult couple of days, but it is time to kick on under O’Neil.
Speaking to talkSPORT breakfast this morning, he said, “It has been quite unexpected but that happens in football and as players, we have to adapt.
“We need to be ready for a new start under a new manager and welcome Gary [O’Neil] as a new manager and make sure we do our best under him.”

Attentions now to turn on the field matters for Wolves.
O’Neil faces a tough first outing as manager, as he leads his new side to Old Trafford to take on Erik Ten Hag’s Manchester United on Monday night.
