The Premier League has confirmed changes to the 2025-26 summer transfer window.
In response to the upcoming Club World Cup in the United States, the Premier League have agreed to adjust the opening, and closing, dates of this year’s summer transfer window.
Wolves, as one of the Premier League’s 20 clubs, and been included in the decision-making process and, like the rest of the league, will be able to trade players within these new timeframes.

Premier League announce changes to 2025 summer transfer window
Because of what the Premier League describe as “an exceptional registration period” due to the Club World Cup, which starts on Sunday, 15 June, this year’s summer window will open earlier than usual.
Unlike previous years, the 2025 summer window will start on Sunday, 1 June, and last until Tuesday, 10 June.
There will then be a short six-day break in trading before the window re-opens on Monday, 16 June and runs until Monday, 1 September.
Chelsea and Manchester City are the two Premier League teams set to compete in the Club World Cup.
How this could impact Wolves
These new changes mean Vitor Pereira will be able to implement his recruitment plans earlier than expected.
Wolves were the second-highest spenders in January and are set to be busy again in the summer. The Old Gold will need to make some key signings as several players near the end of their contracts.
Ahead of his contract expiring at the end of the campaign, Nelson Semedo is linked with joining Benfica on a free transfer.
Elsewhere, Pablo Sarabia is set to leave, with Tommy Doyle also likely to depart and Craig Dawson in need of a move after being frozen out by Pereira.
The changes mean Pereira will have longer to embed any new signings he makes — potentially improving the squad’s cohesion ahead of the start of the 2025-26 season, which is scheduled to kick off on Saturday 16 August 2025.
