A number of clubs are showing interest in a young player at Molineux who Wolves recently made an intriguing decision on.
Wanderers have just returned from the US after a productive past couple of weeks.
Wolves played three more pre-season frienlies against West Ham United, Crystal Palace and RB Leipzig, and continued on with some intense training at their base in Miami.
Gary O’Neil has been pleased with what he has seen from his players.
Many have caught the eye over these last few weeks, and fans are starting to feel really optimistic about the new season.
It has been a little quiet regarding player movements in and out of the club in recent weeks. But things could now start to pick up – and one man who could soon be departing is Joe Hodge.
Joe Hodge has been training with Hibernian, he’ll return to Compton this week

Joe Hodge was not a part of the squad that flew out to Miami.
This was amid speculation that he was going to make a move.
Apparently, Hodge had been in talks with League One side Huddersfield Town, and it was ‘expected’ that he would make that move.
But there were no more developments after that – until now.
Football Scotland reported earlier today that Hodge has actually been training with Scottish outfit Hibernian, ‘ahead of a proposed summer loan deal’.
But Wolves are said to be still weighing up their options regarding Hodge’s next move.
E&S journalist Liam Keen confirmed that Hodge had been training with Hibs, before adding that Wolves and Huddersfield were still having talks.
He then reported this evening via X: “Hodge expected back at Compton this week after Hibs training. No decision made yet on his next club, with plenty interested.”
Luke Cundle is another young midfielder at Wolves who could be departing in this window.
Hodge needs a loan
It is interesting an interesting decision from Wolves to let Hodge go training with a potential new club.
That is not so common, but seemingly Wolves felt there would be value in letting their player go there to see if Hibs could be a good fit for him.
It will be interesting to see where he ends up. After struggling with injuries in the first half of 2023/24, Hodge went out on loan to QPR last season and probably didn’t quite get the amount of minutes he was hoping for.
2024/25 is a big season for him. The £5,000-a-week youngster needs a loan move as first-team minutes will be very hard to come by if he sticks around at Wolves.
Should he join a club on loan as expected, then he must try and make the most of it if he wants to become a first-team option back at Molineux.
