Picture circulates of Wolves winger Pedro Neto outdoors at Compton

Wolves winger Pedro Neto has been pictured outdoors at Compton Park.

The 22-year-old has been out of action since limping out of the game against West Ham United back in October.

Neto damaged ankle ligaments that day, and underwent surgery.

It has been a frustrating period for the Portugal winger.

Prior to his setback, he had been a pretty poor form. Despite heading into the new season looking razor sharp in pre-season, things just did not come off for Neto.

So he’s had to be on the sidelines and has been unable to play and turn things around.

But Neto is seemingly now coming to the end of his spell out.

Back in December, Julen Lopetegui said that Neto would perhaps start to work again in a month’s time.

And it looks as though the player might just be on track.

An image is circulating on social media that appears to show Neto outdoors in his training gear at Compton Park.

Neto is alongside one other coach.

The club have not yet provided any more updates on Neto.

But it’s possible his return might not be too far away now. But he will first need to build his fitness.

A welcome sight as Pedro Neto apparently resumes outdoor training at Compton for Wolves

If this photo has been taking in recent days, then it’s a real positive for Wolves.

Neto had struggled before his injury. But he’s still a top player and has had some rotten luck with injuries that have cause him to miss two major international tournaments.

We have seen the effect Julen Lopetegui has had already on a lot of Wolves players.

Perhaps the Spaniard can get the very best out of Neto again.

There has been a bit of speculation about Goncalo Guedes in recent days, after he was left out of the matchday squad to face West Ham.

It’s possible he could depart. If that happens, Neto’s return to the first-team picture could be timely.
