Wolves have several players making waves on loan, with Fabio Silva and Hugo Bueno earning the headlines.
While Silva is scoring against Barcelona and Real Madrid in Spain, a Champions League dream is being realised for Bueno at Feyenoord.
Bueno has been receiving high praise for his contributions in the Netherlands, where he’s featured heavily in an array of competitions.
The future is uncertain for both of Wolves’ first-team loanees, with Silva expected to depart and interest building around Bueno.

Hugo Bueno hints at position change ahead of Wolves return
There’s certainly more confidence around the defender’s future as Wolves tied the Spaniard down to a new contract before he signed for Feyenoord.
That being said, Bueno admitted that his mentality has changed upon playing among Europe’s elite in the Champions League, with a lot of expectation ahead of his return to Wolves.
It’s admirable that the 22-year-old has ventured to Feyenoord and is starring, surely drawing attention from Vitor Pereira, whom he has yet to work with.
As well as dazzling on the left side to impress the Wolves manager, Bueno recently sent the boss a message regarding what the future could hold for him at Molineux.
Speaking to AS, Bueno opened up about playing a more advanced role for Feyenoord.
“It was a new position for me. There were certain situations where I could go further out and it’s a very comfortable position because I like to attack and get to the byline,” He said.
“It was perfect for me because I received the ball higher up and could take on and create dangerous situations. I think I adapted very well and it worked out for us.”
The Spaniard let Pereira know that he enjoys playing away from the back line, something that could inspire the manager ahead of the loanee’s return to the West Midlands.
Vitor Pereira could utilise Bueno in several ways
Despite Bueno’s recent flexibility in roles, the most realistic position that the player will assume under Pereira is at left-wing back.
The role doesn’t limit the 22-year-old to merely undertake defensive duties but, allows the versatile talent to act as a wide option too.
Position | Apps | Goals | Assists |
Left-back | 20 | 0 | 3 |
Left-wing | 1 | 0 | 1 |
Left midfield | 1 | 0 | 0 |
What’s interesting is Rayan Ait-Nouri’s future, and how it could have a significant impact on Bueno’s next steps at Wolves.
It’s understood that Bueno could challenge Ait-Nouri upon returning, with the left side surely the most appropriate position for the loanee.
Given his experience at Feyenoord, the Spaniard could also take up a central role, giving Pereira something to think about as a player with many strings to his bow.
