Wolves fans were surprised to see that Nelson Semedo was not in the matchday squad to face Nottingham Forest.
The captain missed last night’s game, with young Pedro Lima coming in for his Premier League debut.
Lima gave a good account of himself against Forest, making the most of a rare opportunity at Molineux.
He had not been used much by Gary O’Neil, but fans will now hope to see more of him in the second half of the season under Vitor Pereira.
But Semedo will most likely be the mainstay on that right side for Wolves for the remainder of the season.
But last night, Semedo was absent and after the game – Pereira gave an update on his captain, as well as Craig Dawson.
Vitor Pereira gives injury updates on Nelson Semedo and Craig Dawson

Lima did well last night despite the 3-0 defeat.
But most would feel better if the experienced Semedo was back in the team and thankfully, Pereira gave a fairly positive update after last night’s game.
Speaking about both Semedo and Dawson – who was also missing from last night’s matchday squad – Pereira said: “I’m not a doctor, but I believe that they will not be a serious injury.
“I cannot predict the time, but I believe that they will come maybe next week. I don’t know.”
Semedo missed out last night due to a hamstring injury, while Dawson couldn’t feature because of a calf problem. This came after Pereira admitted that Semedo ‘runs too much’ in games, which may or may not have contributed to his latest injury.
Toti Gomes is currently on the sidelines with a hamstring injury, and the result of all these injuries was a very makeshift defence against Forest.
Rayan Ait-Nouri played as a left centre-back, with Matt Doherty right and Santiago Bueno in the middle. Lima and Rodrigo Gomes played as wing-backs.
Positive news for Wolves
It does not seem like Semedo and Dawson will be out for long which is good news.
Wolves take on Bristol City this weekend in the FA Cup, but the pair likely would not have played anyway.
But Wolves do have a game against Newcastle United next Wednesday, so fans will have everything crossed that the pair will be back for that game.

It would be especially good if Semedo could play. Because Newcastle have Anthony Gordon on their left side, and he is one of the fastest players in the Premier League.
We saw Matt Doherty get burned for pace by Callum Hudson-Odoi last night, and Lima – as promising as he is – still lacks physicality at this stage.
So Pereira will be desperate for Semedo to play.
