It has been a dismal season for Wolves, and it would appear that the internal feeling now matches the external one.
Wolves fell to yet another defeat in the Premier League on Monday night, losing 4-1 at home to Manchester United.
It was another woeful display from Wolves, who gifted goals to United.

Against a backdrop of fan protests against owners Fosun, the team again struggled at both ends of the pitch, with the defence especially shaky.
United were able to carve Wolves open at will, and the result means the club will definitely be bottom at Christmas.
It is safe to say that everyone outside of Wolves believes the club will be relegated – and now, an internal feeling has been shared.
Internal acceptance that Wolves are going down

It has been an utterly disastrous season for Wolves.
2025/26 was always going to be tough with key players like Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri leaving. But their exits have hit especially hard.
Jamie Carragher admitted he expected Wolves to be much more competitive, even though he did tip the club for relegation at the start.
With two points taken from 15 games, Wolves looked dead and buried – and journalist Andy Mitten gave the lowdown on the feeling at the club now, after the defeat to United.
He said on the Talk of the Devils podcast: “Do they change? I mean, they were bottom last December Wolves, but far more in contention than where they are now. They turned it round, but I sense speaking to people there, including fans, including people on the inside at the club, a resignation that they are going down.
“They’re almost half looking towards next season.”
Wolves heading for the Championship
It is just impossible to see how Wolves can survive the drop now, as they are already 13 points adrift.
There are still obviously lots of points to play for. But Wolves have been abysmal for the most part and are not about to do a complete 180 and go on a winning run.

Mitten says there is a resignation that the club will be in the Championship next season, and given that, Wolves will surely only be able to bring in players who are going to suit the second tier.
