Pedro Neto’s girlfriend makes admission that Wolves fans have seen before after Chelsea transfer

Wolves bid farewell to Pedro Neto this week as the winger joined Chelsea to end his five-year stay in the Midlands.

After months of speculation, Gary O’Neil and Matt Hobbs sanctioned Pedro Neto’s exit from Wolves ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.

The Old Gold were poised to stand firm on their £60m asking price however, a deal worth £54m was struck with Chelsea.

Still, it’s a profitable transaction for Wolves considering the injury record that Neto carries although, that doesn’t make the farewell any easier.

Pedro Neto’s girlfriend pens message to Wolves after Chelsea transfer

Neto’s goodbye to Wolves was emotional, as Hobbs explained and as was communicated by the winger’s social media message to fans following the announcement of his exit.

The 24-year-old’s partner, Carolina Silva, has now taken the time to say her goodbye to Molineux after five memorable years.

On Instagram, Silva shared a heartfelt acknowledgement of Wolves fans ahead of the couple’s move to West London.

Pedro Neto’s girlfriend Carolina Silva says goodbye to Wolves on Instagram

“I will never forget the moments and people that this place brought me. We were very happy here. Half of my heart will always be with you. Thank you everyone, we will miss you Wolves family.”

While Neto’s departure was somewhat expected, bidding farewell to the player that Wolves signed when he was a teenager was upsetting for all associated with the club.

Silva’s personal goodbye to Molineux emphasised the family atmosphere at Wolves, with her message being something fans have seen many times before.

Wolves fans have seen many emotional goodbyes

There’s certainly a fair share of Wolves fans who are still recovering from Ruben Neves’ farewell video after he left the club to join Al-Hilal last summer.

Like Neto, the midfielder did a lot of growing up at Wolves, becoming the player he is today which saw him struggle to part ways with the Midlands club.

Similar to the emotion shown by Neto’s partner, Neves’ wife also thanked Wolves fans when their family moved to Saudi Arabia, telling of how settled the players had become at Molineux.

Raul Jimenez’s wife Daniela was another figure who expressed her gratitude to Wolves fans after the Mexican’s departure, penning a message on social media as the couple sat down to record a farewell video.

Wolves is a family club and one that prides itself on making players feel at home in Wolverhampton, an approach that is evident in how difficult goodbye’s have become for departed players’ families over the years.

A new venture now awaits Neto and Silva, as they prepare for their new life in the capital.
