Pedro Neto has taken to Instagram, and suggested he may be nearing a return to light training from injury.

The winger has been out of action since the end of last season.

My Revenge On Ben Foster

Neto, 21, suffered a broken patella, which required surgery and resulted in him missing the final seven Premier League games of 2020/21.

And, of course, he was forced to miss Euro 2020.

Neto was a shining light for Wolves last season, and him missing the starting of 2021/22 was certainly a worry for the Wolves faithful.

So far though, the team have managed OK without him.

Loan signing Hwang Hee-chan has come in and stepped up to the plate.

Francisco Trincao is still finding his feet but has also offered some exciting glimpses.

Wolves gave an update on Neto at the end of September, stating that he was going to have a specialist review in October.

Bruno Lage then recently said that Neto was on course to return to match action around mid-January.

Neto teases possible return from injury on Instagram

Today, Neto has taken to his Instagram account to share a message with Wolves supporters, and it seems a return from injury to at least light training may be coming soon.

He has uploaded a picture of himself in training gear, along with a simple egg-timer emoji as the caption.

Neto has also posted to his Story, with another egg-timer and also a ‘prayers’ emoji.

One wonders whether that might mean he is soon due to begin outside work.

We have only really seen Neto in the gym in recent weeks, but perhaps he is ready to take the next step in his recovery. That would certainly be a real boost.
