Pedro Neto shares bizarre thing Matheus Cunha does during Gary O’Neil’s Wolves team talks

Pedro Neto has conducted a revealing new interview – and the winger shared something strange that Matheus Cunha does when Gary O’Neil gives team talks at Wolves.

Neto sat down to speak with journalist Pedro Pinto on the 1 Para 1 podcast.

The 23-year-old is always good value when it comes to interviews and he had a lot of interesting things to say during his 38-minute chat with Pinto.

Neto jokingly admitted that former Wolves star Joao Moutinho used to annoy him with how professional he used to be at Molineux.

Neto also spoke about some current Wolves stars and at one point was asked about players with the strangest habits in the squad – which is when he offered something Matheus Cunha does…

The Wolves dressing room seems like a brilliant place.

Certainly, since Matt Hobbs became sporting director and Gary O’Neil came in as manager, the squad seems to be in a great place with a number of brilliant characters and personalities in there.

One such character is Cunha, who is currently sidelined with a ‘significant’ hamstring injury.

The Brazilian has enjoyed an amazing season, and appears to be one of the most popular players in the dressing room for his outgoing personality and humility.

But Neto shared one simply bizarre thing that he does.

He told Pinto: “There’s one from Matheus Cunha here at Wolves. Imagine we’re all listening to the coach, he’s talking and I have Matheus whispering in my ear. I don’t know what. I never tried to listen because I’m paying attention to the gaffer.

“But he’s here by my side whispering, probably praying or something. The coach is talking and he’s next to me going ‘bsh bsh bsh’ and I’m hearing the coach talking and him whispering next to me!”

Cunha is a character

On the face of it, this seems a pretty strange thing that Cunha does.

But it always shows he’s a joker, and we know that he is a massively popular figure at the club already.

Gary O’Neil has had nothing but positive things to say about Cunha during his time at the club so far, and the pair have a great relationship. The manager has said a couple of times that they talk tactics and about his positioning, and Cunha showed his serious side went to see O’Neil in his office the morning after the 4-3 defeat to Manchester United.

While it may be a ‘strange’ thing he does, no one will mind one jot if he continues to be as impactful as he has this season.
