Pedro Neto posts on Instagram after going off injured against Liverpool

Wolves winger Pedro Neto has assured supporters that ‘everything is fine’, after he went off injured against Liverpool.

The forward had started in attack with Raul Jimenez, and gave Wanderers an early lead in the game.

But after just 22 minutes, the youngster needed to come off, kicking the ball out of play himself before signalling to the bench.

Thankfully, it seems the issue isn’t too serious.

Neto has taken to Instagram to post after today’s 3-1 defeat at Anfield.

He said: “First of all just to say that everything is fine. After a long time, what a feeling. Now rest and next season comeback with everything to conquer amazing things with this club and this amazing fans. Cmon @Wolves.”

Wolves losing Neto at Anfield so early was a real blow.

The star grabbed the goal, and looked really sharp against Jurgen Klopp’s title-chasing side.

Neto was replaced by Hwang Hee-chan, a decision that seemed very strange considering the South Korean’s poor form of late.

And the 26-year-old put in another poor display, wasting chances and showing a loose touch.

Pedro Neto cameo was promising for Wolves, he’ll be key next season

It was such a shame that Neto only lasted as long as he did, considering he was looking sharp.

Neto has been working gradually to build his fitness following his return to action in February.

It’s been a fairly slow process for the former Braga man, who also had that setback in April when he picked up a foot injury.

But just lately, Neto has been showing signs that he is getting back to his best and today was a promising performance.

Hopefully next season, Wolves will see again the Pedro Neto of 2020/21, the player that stood out every game in Raul Jimenez’s absence.
