Paul Merson has once again given his Premier League predictions, and he expects a positive weekend for Wolves as they face Sheffield United.
Wolves’ good form has continued for quite a while now as Gary O’Neil has led his side to five Premier League games unbeaten. This has resulted in the relegation scrap seemingly being put behind Wolves as they sit in 12th, seven points clear.
Last weekend, saw a 2-2 draw with Newcastle however Mario Lemina admitted he thought Wolves could’ve won.
The big concern coming out of the game though is Pedro Neto’s new injury concerns. It now seems that Wolves are optimistic about his return not being too far away, with the end of the year signposted.
But ahead of this weekend’s game against Sheffield United, Neto won’t be in action which will impact them, but Paul Merson is still backing Old Gold to pick up the points.

Paul Merson predicts Wolves v Sheffield United
Writing in his weekly predictions column on SportsKeeda, Merson has backed Wolves and heaped praise onto O’Neil.
“Sheffield United would have looked at this game three or four weeks ago and earmarked it as a winnable game, but Wolves are flying at the moment, making this one a bit of a nightmare for the Bees.
“Gary O’Neil has done a fantastic job since taking over the reins at Molineux. He’s got them playing a decent brand of football and they look alright on both ends of the pitch, making them one of the most underrated teams in the Premier League at the moment.”
Merson then concluded with his predictions, which he favoured a Wolves win, with a 3-1 scoreline at Bramall Lane.
Where could Wolves finish the weekend?
With a win, Wolves could leapfrog Manchester United and all the other sides from eighth down to 12th. This obviously assuming points are dropped elsewhere.
This would represent a significant milestone as O’Neil drags Wolves from strength to strength despite many predicting a relegation pre-season.
We have to agree with Merson too and suggest Wolves could be six unbeaten by the time the sun sets on Saturday.
