Raul Jimenez got the only goal of the game, much to the delight of supporters in the away end.

The Mexican had been waiting for that moment, following his horrendous skull fracture last term.

Standing in the way of three more points at Molineux is a Newcastle United side that are yet to win this season.

Steve Bruce’s side are only out of the relegation zone by virtue of having a superior goal difference to Leeds United.

Previewing the clash for Sportskeeda, Paul Merson has given his prediction for the game.

He said: “Newcastle United drew 1-1 with Watford last week and I just get the feeling that this one will end all square as well. When I look at Wolves and Newcastle, there is not a lot between them, so I can’t split them at the moment.

I’m going for a 1-1 draw. Allan Saint-Maximin will cause Wolves problems, but I think this game ends level.”

1-1 would be a surprise to absolutely no one

Wolves fans would like to hope their side can build on the Southampton result and record another victory against a struggling side.

The last four meetings between these two teams have ended in a 1-1 draw.

If Wolves can keep Saint-Maximin in check, there will be a good chance of doing something more than a draw this time around.

Especially since Callum Wilson is not available for the visitors.
