Mateus Mane put in an inspiring performance for the hosts, but a number of other players also really impressed.

By contrast, Wolves’ next opponents Everton had a very poor day at the office on Sunday.

They lost 4-2 to Brentford and their poor run at home of late will surely encourage Wolves.

Wolves finally getting their first win against West Ham was obviously huge.

The hope now is that it serves as a catalyst for change. The Wolves players simply need to bottle the feeling and use it as fuel.

Edwards has urged his players to remain grounded, despite the win.

But hopefully we see them expressing themselves against Everton, whose manager David Moyes is wary of the confidence that win over West Ham will have brought.

He said: “I think Wolves probably gaining in confidence and gaining a bit more self-belief. I think they came away from Old Trafford with a draw. They were very unlucky at Anfield I think.

“I think maybe even away from home they might be able to play with less pressure than maybe they do with their home support.

“I don’t think Wolves were ever as poorly as where they were earlier on. I think they’ve certainly picked up now and Rob Edwards seems to have got them going in the right direction.”

Wolves must play without fear against Everton

Moyes clearly feels that Wolves are a banana skin for his side.

The Wolves players need to have belief in themselves after the win over West Ham.

It’s a great time to be playing against Everton, and the players should embrace the possibility of adding to the Toffees’ frustrations at their new stadium.
