Wolves are back in action this weekend against Brentford in the Premier League, and are looking for a third win over the Bees this season.
Wanderers have faced Thomas Frank’s side already in the league, winning 4-1 at the Gtech Community Stadium in December thanks to some really bad defending from the home side.
Wolves then drew their FA Cup third-round match with them last month, and beat them in extra-time in the replay.
The mood around Wolves right now is the best it has been for a long time, with Gary O’Neil continuing to deliver brilliant results and exciting football.
That has led to some more praise from pundit Paul Merson, who has made his prediction ahead of Saturday’s game, which will see Hwang Hee-chan and Boubacar Traore both be available…
Paul Merson says Wolves are ‘very underrated’ this season, as he makes Brentford prediction

Wolves are sitting in 10th place right now, which is something even the most optimistic Old Gold supporter would not have foreseen.
There was so much chaos and concern at the start of the season, but O’Neil has come in and got Wolves back on the straight and narrow.
There is no looking over the shoulder now, and it’s all about trying to push as much as possible. These players love O’Neil, and the fans are right behind him too, so there is potential for something special to happen.
Merson has loved what he’s seen from Wolves this season, and does not see them having any issues picking up another win this weekend. Predicting a 3-1 home win, he said (Sportskeeda): “Wolves have been absolutely outstanding this season. If you disregard the Manchester United clash which they lost in virtually the last kick of the game thanks to a stunning goal from Kobbie Mainoo, they’ve lost just one of their last nine games in all competitions in a run that has seen them face the likes of Chelsea, Brighton and Everton – that is some going.
“They are a very underrated side and should get the job done at home. Brentford had their moments against City and will have a go away from home, but I fancy Gary O’Neil and co to come out on top.”
Wolves amazing so far, but there will still be bumps in the road
What a start it has been for O’Neil at Wolves, but while the team is doing so well right now, it is important to keep some perspective.
The second half of the season will be tough. Fatigue will set in, which could hurt this small squad.
There are going to be days where things just don’t click, potentially against sides Wolves are expected to beat, and there will be frustration.
But Wolves fans can at least bank on these players giving everything every single game. It’s clear they all want to run through brick walls for O’Neil, so there is genuine potential for something amazing to happen come May.
