Wolves will look to bounce back from their defeat to Brighton in the Carabao Cup against Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday.
It has been a tough start to the new season for Wanderers, who have lost four of their six matches so far in all competitions.
It was perhaps always going to be this way.
Wolves were dealt a tough hand in terms of the fixtures. But aside from the second-half against Chelsea, Gary O’Neil‘s side have at least been competitive.
A win on Saturday against Villa has the potential to be a major catalyst for Wolves’ season, a bit like the win over Manchester City at Molineux was last term.
Wolves told they’ve been ‘unlucky’ this season, as Aston Villa lie in wait

Wolves have just one point on the board so far from their four Premier League games.
The defeat against Newcastle was tough to take after going in front, and now O’Neil must try and pull something out of the bag against a Villa side who have just won 3-0 against Young Boys in the Champions League.
Unai Emery is a top manager and has Villa in a really healthy spot at the moment.
Few would look past Villa winning the game, especially with it being at Villa Park. And Paul Merson certainly can’t see anything else.
Predicting a 3-1 home victory, he told Sportskeeda: “I don’t see anything but a win for Aston Villa here. I’ve been really impressed by them.
“There’s not a million things wrong with Wolves at the moment. They are just unlucky. In the last game against Newcastle, they could have easily been 2-0 up after taking the lead. But unfortunately, they ended up losing that game.”

Not many people will be giving Wolves a chance this weekend given the form of the two clubs.
Wolves are on a run of one win in 15 in the league and O’Neil desperately needs three points to just alleviate some of the pressure.
We have seen Wolves trying to play out from the back this season and this has led to goals being conceded.
It might be worth just trying to change things up for the next few games and trying to grind out results. Perhaps switching to a back three is the way forward, as it was last season against City.
Currently, points are all that matter – and three points at Villa would be absolutely massive.
