Opta supercomputer has now predicted Wolves’ chances of a win vs Brighton

Wolves are still winless in the Premier League, and the Opta supercomputer has given its verdict on whether or not they are likely to break that duck against Brighton.

It will be a tough fixture for the Old Gold. Brighton are flying in terms of goalscoring, having scored 24 goals across all competitions so far this season.

That compares to Wolves’ nine goals.

Both sides have been handed injury blows to their defence as Matt Doherty is ruled out, according to Ireland manager Heimir Hallgrimsson.

Meanwhile, Fabian Hurzeler is without Joel Veltman, after confirming he will miss Sunday’s clash.

It is shaping up to be a tough game, and here is what the supercomputer thinks will happen.

Wolves have just a slim chance of beating Brighton according to the Opta supercomputer

A win against Brighton would be an incredible result for Vitor Pereira and would give much-needed confidence to the squad heading into the international break.

Relegation is not off the cards for the Wanderers, and they desperately need to start climbing the table to ward off any talk of dropping to the Championship.

The Opta supercomputer has now given its verdict on if Wolves can pick up all three points against the Seagulls.

As expected, Wolves are heading into the game against Brighton as heavy underdogs.

The Old Gold have been given just a 27.1% chance of winning by the Opta supercomputer.

Brighton, on the other hand, have been given 49.1%, with a draw between the sides being the unlikeliest outcome at 23.9%.

A strong performance would still give Wolves confidence

Playing against Brighton is always going to be a tough fixture, and getting a win was always going to be a difficult task.

If the Old Gold can pull off a win, that would be a sensational result, but what they have to do, no matter the end score, is put in a strong performance.

Too often this season the displays on the pitch have been lacklustre, and fans would at least have some confidence about the season if they were playing well.

Pereira proved he can get good performances out of his squad against Tottenham, and he has to do it once more against Brighton.

Even if they lose, a showing from the Old Gold that provides promise will still be a positive ahead of two crucial relegation six-pointers against Sunderland and Burnley after the international break.
