Wolves made it back-to-back wins in the Premier League with a fantastic 4-1 victory over Fulham on Saturday.
Wolves came from behind to beat the Cottagers down in London, with Matheus Cunha once again the star of the show.
The Brazilian provided two goals and an assist, as Wolves produced one of their best displays for quite some time under Gary O’Neil.
Joao Gomes also really impressed against Fulham, and all of a sudden there is a bit more optimism now, with the club four games unbeaten.
Cunha and Gomes have been coming in for plenty of praise for their contributions yesterday. But it really was a top team effort, and O’Neil made sure one unsung hero got his due credit.
Gary O’Neil hails Toti Gomes after superb display for Wolves at Fulham

Wolves were fantastic in the final third yesterday, but the defenders were also really good.
O’Neil couldn’t call on Santiago Bueno or Craig Dawson, so Mario Lemina and Toti Gomes were a makeshift pairing, with Nelson Semedo and Rayan Ait-Nouri operating as traditional full-backs.
The game had the potential to be a bit messy. Lemina and Toti have never played as a defensive pairing before – but they were both brilliant.
As per Sofascore, Toti made a whopping eight clearances against Fulham. He also made one block and one interception.
Toti’s use of the ball was also very good, completing 61/65 (94%) passes.
After the game, O’Neil made sure he mentioned the Portugal international after his rock-sold display. He said (via Wolves official): “There were so many good performances, it feels wrong to speak too much about individuals, because you could go on forever; Joao Gomes, Rayan, Toti Gomes – Toti’s our number one left back and he just had to play centre-half with Mario Lemina and didn’t put a foot wrong.”
Joao Gomes and Nelson Semedo in agreement about Toti Gomes
Toti posted on Instagram after the 4-1 win over Fulham.
There were lots of comments from fans praising the 25-year-old for his efforts, and there were also some comments from his teammates.

Toti’s centre-back partner Lemina replied saying ‘Locked in 🔐 Twinny 🔥’, and both Joao Gomes and Nelson Semedo dropped the same verdict that some fans will certainly share after his display on Saturday; ‘machine’.
He had a tricky start to the 2024/25 season. Troy Deeney branded Toti a ‘car crash’ after his performance against Arsenal, and he didn’t look comfortable in those opening weeks.
But just recently, Toti has seen an upturn in form, and Wolves fans will no doubt love that for such a hardworking and humble player.
