Jermaine Jenas called Mario Lemina ‘absolutely excellent’ on Match of the Day, after Wolves’ fantastic win over Tottenham Hotspur yesterday.
Wanderers picked up three huge points against the north London giants at Molineux, and it was a very different feeling compared to against Sheffield United.
Wolves were trailing for most of the game after an early goal by Brennan Johnson.
But Gary O’Neil‘s side were able to turn things around at the end. Pablo Sarabia popped up first with an absolutely sensational goal.
Then, Lemina grabbed the winner in the 97th minute to send the home fans delirious.
The midfielder came in for praise from Jenas last night…

Last night on Match of the Day, Jenas could not hide how impressed he was with Wolves’ performance.
Spurs had a depleted side, but Wolves still had to come from behind at Molineux.
In the end, it was a deserved win, with Wolves playing some lovely football and creating a lot of chances.
Lemina was superb throughout, with Jenas saying: “Their ability to understand that moment (Sarabia’s equaliser)… it wasn’t just like oh let’s settle in and keep the point now. It was right let’s go and get the next one.
“Look at the urgency to try and take a quick free-kick. They’re on it, Spurs are having to react, one pass from Doyle. They’re at the back four, it was a brilliant run from Lemina who was absolutely excellent in that second-half.”
Lemina superb again for Wolves
What a day for Wolves fans and what a moment for Lemina to score in such fashion.
The £45,000-a-week Gabon international was just everywhere in that second-half and was superb throughout the whole game.
The 30-year-old just brings such intensity to this Wolves side. The club signed him in January for around £10 million and at this point, that is one of the best transfer deals the club has sanctioned in recent years
He has made a seismic impact since coming in and Wolves fans absolutely adore him.
