Wolves manager Vitor Pereira has been catching up with Portuguese media during his summer holidays.
The boss is taking a well-deserved break after an incredibly busy 2024/25 calendar.
Pereira started the season in Saudi Arabia as Al-Shabab manager before taking on the difficult job at Molineux in December.
The 56-year-old had a remarkable debut campaign in the Premier League as Pereira turned Wolves’ fortune around in style, earning a few weeks off before pre-season commences.

Vitor Pereira was surprised by Wolves fans
After Gary O’Neil was sacked, a list of candidates to become Wolves manager was revealed, and surprisingly, Pereira was not one of them.
That being said, Wolves won’t have any regrets about hiring the boss, who is adored in the West Midlands for his work on and off the pitch.
Wolves fans absolutely love Pereira, and the manager feels the same, spending time with supporters in the pub after victories.
Though the relationship between Pereira and fans has been well documented, the coach admitted that when he first arrived in the West Midlands, one thing left him stunned by the supporters.
Speaking to Portuguese outlet Record, the boss spoke about his early moments at Wolves, explaining what he immediately realised and how he changed it.
“I realised that the results did not reflect the individual quality of the players and that it was possible to improve the team, particularly from a defensive point of view, to make it more balanced and more consistent from a tactical point of view.
“Essentially, I gave them confidence. The impact on the fanbase was something that surprised me a little, because it was immediate.”
Pereira elaborated on how he was ‘surprised’ by Wolves fans, reminiscing on his first game in charge at the King Power Stadium.
“When I arrived, they [Wolves] had just lost to Ipswich at home. Then, against Leicester, we won 3-0 and they chanted my name, something I honestly did not expect.”
Supporters amazed Pereira by serenading him so early into his career in the Premier League, something that evidently touched the Wolves manager.
Pereira’s first game in charge of Wolves was one to remember
Undoubtedly, one of the moments of the season was Wolves’ 3-0 win over Leicester in Pereira’s first game.
As the boss noted, the game prior saw O’Neil’s tenure come to an end as the Old Gold lost in the last minute at home to Ipswich Town.
When morale was low and relegation was beckoning, Pereira arrived and turned things around almost instantly, as the Wolves squad put together an impressive display against the Foxes.
It was a moment to savour and a worthy start for the Portuguese coach, who wasted no time making his suitability for the Premier League known.
