One thing has caught Vitor Pereira’s eye in Wolves training ahead of Leeds United

Wolves manager Vitor Pereira has put an end to speculation over his future by signing a new contract that commits him to the club until 2028.

Despite a poor start to the season, Fosun have shown their continued faith in the Portuguese manager.

Agent Jorge Mendes has been the driving force behind the contract negotiations, helping the two parties reach an agreement.

With pressure mounting after a nightmare start to the season, Pereira has been focused on turning things around on the training ground.

However, there is one thing in particular that has impressed him this week, as Wolves prepare to face Leeds United this weekend.

Vitor Pereira impressed by ‘team spirit’ and ‘hard workers’ in Wolves training

Last week, Pereira admitted he was impressed by Tolu Arokodare’s performance in training, but this week, he praised the collective effort of the whole squad, as they look to rediscover their form from last season.

As relayed by journalist Liam Keen, he said: “I saw team spirit and hard workers.

‘We are trying to connect them to create our identity, and I hope tomorrow to see the results of the work.”

The Old Gold will most definitely need spirit to overcome a confident Leeds side that has already picked up four points this season.

Hard work will also be essential to reverse the difficult start that has seen results fall short of expectations.

The manager himself will also be looking to rediscover his touch of magic, which helped him guide Wolves to safety last term.

Why Pereira can turn Wolves’ season around

Pereira has already shown he can get the best out of his squad, as he demonstrated when he guided Wolves to safety after taking charge midway through last season.

The manager’s ability to instill discipline and a clear identity gives him the tools to reverse their poor start.

With the backing of the board and key players like Jorgen Strand Larsen close to returning from injury, he has the resources to make a positive impact.

With a run of comparatively easier fixtures approaching, the 57-year-old manager must seize the opportunity to pick up points and build momentum.

If Wolves can harness the spirit and work ethic Pereira has seen in training, there is genuine hope that their fortunes can be turned around, starting with a positive result against Leeds.
