One specific part of Premier League football is surprising Wolves star Jackson Tchatchoua

Jackson Tchatchoua is still finding his feet at Wolves – and the defender has noticed one radical difference between the Premier League and Serie A.

Jackson Tchatchoua arrived at Wolves from Hellas Verona, with the club paying around £10 million.

It has been a mixed bag so far for the Cameroon international, but he has impressed fans with one trait of his in particular – his pace.

Tchatchoua has been clocked as the fastest player in the Premier League this season, and the speed he recorded against Everton earlier in the campaign is the third-fastest in the competition’s history.

Without a doubt, Tchatchoua has the potential to be a real danger.

But for now, the 24-year-old is still looking to achieve consistency, which is not an easy thing to do coming to the English top-flight.

The Premier League is famous for its intensity.

You often get players coming from overseas and remarking just how quick the pace of the English game is, and many also note the level of physicality.

A few Wolves players have previously talked about these things.

Pablo Sarabia spoke of the Premier League’s intensity and how it took him a while to adapt.

And Jean-Ricner Bellegarde also commented on the Premier League, joking that it was ‘too fast’.

Tchatchoua has recently given an interview with the Wolves media team and expressed similar sentiments to Sarabia and Bellegarde.

But he also specifically notes how different Premier League football is when it comes to the final 10 minutes of games.

He said (via Wolves official): “The big difference I think is the high intensity. The intensity is very, very high.

“Also the last 10 minutes is very different to the other championship because in this last 10 minutes, anything can happen. Win, lose, draw – this is very different.”

Wolves must be better at seeing out games

Certainly Premier League games can be very unpredictable in the final 10 minutes. Especially when there’s only a one or two-goal difference.

Perhaps in Serie A teams find it easier to shut up shop and see games out.

This is something Wolves have had difficulty with so far this season, with the team conceding late goals in each of the last two games.

If Wolves are to pull away from danger, Pereira simply must find a way of seeing games out. Some will argue that he needs to stop going to a back three and inviting pressure, and that there needs to be a greater emphasis on finding a second goal.

Hugo Bueno believes Wolves must be more attacking, rather than dropping the line too much, and many fans will hope to see this.
