Nuno Espirito Santo has provided an update on the progress of full-back Jonny.

The issue turned out to be ACL damage, and the former Celta Vigo star underwent surgery in mid-August.
Speaking about the player’s condition, Nuno said (Express & Star): “Yes, he’s doing OK. He works a lot.
“He works more than anybody else. He works morning, afternoon and night. He’s always working, and he’s doing well.”
The manager’s comments came after Jonny took to Instagram on Wednesday to post a video of some of his rehab work.
The star is now several weeks into a gradual rehabilitation programme, and is said to be on track. It is not thought he will be back before the end of 2020 (Birmingham Mail).
Jonny return will be massive for Wolves
It seems Jonny is working hard to get back fit as soon as he can, and one hopes that he can come back stronger than ever.
Nuno’s comments certainly suggest the player is doing everything he can to perhaps seal an earlier return than anticipated.
Jonny has proven to be a fine acquisition since arriving on an initial loan in 2018, which was then turned permanent for a reported £15 million (BBC Sport).
Wolves have signed Fernando Marcal and Rayan Ait-Nouri since he’s been out, but Jonny’s eventual return to the side will be massively beneficial.
