Wolves are taking on Manchester United tonight at Old Trafford with Rob Edwards determined to end 2025 in the right way.
It has been a disastrous first half of the 2025/26 season, with Wolves currently on an 11-game losing run.
It’s just two points taken from 18 games, and Rob Edwards has lost all seven matches he’s taken since coming in as the new manager.
Would you be happy with this starting XI, Wolves fans?
If not, let us know who comes in and who comes out!
Relegation is highly likely, but if Wolves are to somehow pull off a great escape, a win tonight is paramount.
At the moment, Wolves have a number of injury problems.
Jean-Ricner Bellegarde and Marshall Munetsi are still out of action, and Edwards also cast doubt on Yerson Mosquera and Santiago Bueno, although there is hope both will be fine.
Another player who’s been out for a while is Rodrigo Gomes – but new footage released by the club yesterday is encouraging.
Rodrigo Gomes closing in on Wolves return

Rodrigo Gomes has been unavailable for Wolves now for the past two months.
He has yet to feature under Rob Edwards thanks to his groin injury- but it looks like he may not be out for too much longer.
At the end of November, Rodrigo was seen out on the grass doing individual work.
And the Portuguese looks to have taken another step in his recovery, with Wolves releasing footage yesterday of training.
In the video on Wolves’ YouTube channel, Rodrigo can be seen with the rest of the group. He participates in a running drill, before then playing in a small-sided game with small nets.
Who remembers this memorable 1-0 win over Man United at Old Trafford in 2022? 🤩
Joao Moutinho's goal saw Wolves claim a first victory at Old Trafford in almost 42 years!
No update was provided by Rob Edwards ahead of the game with Manchester United, so perhaps the game will come too soon.
But Wanderers have West Ham United, Everton and then Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup as the first three games in 2026, so perhaps he will feature soon.
Wolves have missed Rodrigo Gomes
There is no doubt that Rodrigo has been missed since being out injured.
The youngster had actually enjoyed a decent start to the season and had helped himself to a couple of goals.

His speed and effervescence have been missed, and the poor performances of Jackson Tchatchoua and Ki-Jana Hoever at right wing-back have only emphasised Rodrigo’s absence.
Certainly, him being seen training alongside his teammates is a big positive.
