Wolves came agonisingly close to securing their second point of the season but fell short to Manchester City.
The Old Gold conceded a late John Stones winner at Molineux, seeing the prospect of a draw against the champions quickly vanish.
Gary O’Neil’s side continue their search for a result, having earned just one point from their opening eight Premier League games.
All focus at Compton Park is on the upcoming clash with Brighton however, there was some noise regarding Wolves coming from the midweek action.

Nelson Semedo sends message to Matheus Nunes
Some Wolves eyes would have been on the Champions League this week, as Hugo Bueno faced Bruno Lage’s Benfica.
Bueno was rated highly by Dutch media, who were impressed by the left-back’s role in Feyenoord’s 3-1 win.
The Wolves loanee wasn’t the only player to generate attention at Molineux, as Nelson Semedo noticed an achievement of his former teammate in the tournament.
It’s been quite the week for Matheus Nunes, who got the last laugh on his return to the West Midlands with Man City, and then scored in the Champions League days later.
Nunes was on target in City’s 5-0 win over Sptarta Prague on Wednesday night, with Semedo applauding the former Wolves midfielder on Instagram.
The defender commented “Grandi Mathiiiozz” on the 26-year-old’s post, which might not have gone down well with supporters after Sunday afternoon’s drama.
Nunes taunted Wolves fans at Molineux after City’s late win, returning to his former home as a villain.
Wolves have to turn things around
It was an eventful week in the Champions League for the Wolves loanee and former Molineux midfielder, emphasising the need for the Old Gold to turn things around.
O’Neil’s side need a win, which they are more than capable of achieving if they can block out the noise surrounding a possible relegation battle.
Having already faced six of last season’s top seven in the Premier League, Wolves get a moment of calm away from the blockbuster fixtures, but that shouldn’t come as good news for the squad.
It’s now more than ever that O’Neil has to get his players in order, with there a clear chance at redemption coming up.
