Wolves pulled 12 points clear of the relegation zone on Saturday, beating rivals Ipswich Town 2-1 at Portman Road.
It was a huge win for Wolves who are now all but safe in the Premier League.
Liam Delap gave the visitors a scare on Saturday, putting Ipswich ahead in the first-half. But Vitor Pereira’s side turned things around in the second-half, with Pablo Sarabia and Jorgen Strand Larsen on target.
Losing to Ipswich did not bear thinking about.
Had the Tractor Boys been able to reduce the gap to six points, that could have led to a real psychological blow.
But Wolves showed real character, and are now in the best form they’ve been in all season.
And the message from captain Nelson Semedo now is clear.
Nelson Semedo calls for Wolves to be ‘ambitious’ after going 12 points clear of relegation zone

With the win over Ipswich, Wolves have moved onto 32 points in the Premier League table.
With seven games left to play there are still 21 points to play for, meaning the maximum points tally Wolves can finish on this season is 53.
That won’t happen, but Semedo issued a rallying cry after Wolves’ latest win – and wants his teammates to shoot for the stars for the rest of the season.
Taking to Instagram, the 31-year-old said: “Team Spirit, Passion, togetherness, a Pack. We are alive. 7 to go lets be ambitious. Wolves ay we.”
Semedo has been a great captain so far for Wolves
Semedo strikes the perfect tone with this message.
The goal now should be for Wolves to keep pushing until the end of the season, to see if the club can finish any higher in the table.
Wolves are only three points behind the two teams above them in the table now, West Ham United and Everton.
Pereira’s side are in the ascendency, and can still finish the current campaign strongly.

Semedo – who Wolves fans really hope gets a contract extension – has proven to be a very good choice of captain after Mario Lemina left the club earlier this year.
The full-back was chosen by Gary O’Neil in one of his last acts before getting sacked, and thus far he’s not really put a foot wrong, brought an element of calm and professionalism and always spoken well.
Semedo is likely to leave Wolves this summer, but he’s certainly showing he’d be a great loss if he did depart.
