Wolves defender Nelson Semedo appears not to have returned to training yet, after going off injured in last week’s game with Arsenal.
The Portugal international had to go off on the hour mark at the Emirates Stadium after pulling up after making a clearance.
Semedo received treatment for several minutes before being replaced by Jonny Castro Otto.
Semedo was unable to feature in the next game against West Ham United, with Ki-Jana Hoever starting in his place.
Fans have been waiting for an update on the 28-year-old’s condition but there hasn’t yet been any word.
Those hoping to see Semedo back in the starting XI against Crystal Palace this weekend could potentially be disappointed.
Wolves have released some new training photos today and worryingly, the former Barcelona is nowhere to be seen.
Bruno Lage is due to speak to the media tomorrow.
There is a good chance he will give an update on the situation there.
Semedo getting injured is a big frustration for Wolves.
Lage had only just got every single player back fit and available again, after the recent returns of Jonny, Hwang Hee-chan, Pedro Neto, Willy Boly and Yerson Mosquera.
But Semedo is now on the sidelines, and he’ll be a major miss for however long he’ll be out.
Worrying signs as Nelson Semedo seemingly misses training
It is a concern that Semedo hasn’t yet returned to training.
It is looking quite unlikely that he will be available to face Palace. Theoretically even if he shook off the injury, he would perhaps be lacking sharpness anyway due to not training.
Lage will shed some more light on the situation tomorrow no doubt.
Hopefully it’s not serious, because Semedo has become an absolutely integral player for Wolves this season.
His absence against West Ham really told on Sunday.
