Nelson Semedo and Vitinha have praised their Wolverhampton Wanderers teammate Joao Moutinho, with both in agreement he has the best technique at the club.

The duo were taking part in an interview on Sky Sports Football’s official YouTube channel for a game of ‘True or False’.

They were asked to reveal a number of things about all things Wolves, including if Adama Traore is the fastest player they’ve ever played with, if Conor Coady speaks Portguese and if Fabio Silva has the worst haircut at the club.

When it came to whether Moutinho had the best technique at Molineux, both Semedo and Vitinha instantly flashed their ‘True’ paddles.

Vitinha said of the midfield veteran: “I like to learn from his a lot. It’s a pleasure.

Semedo added: “Amazing. Like in the games, he does almost everything well. He’s a classy player, very intelligent and it’s very easy to play with him.”

Moutinho, in the eyes of many Wolves fans, is one of the best players to pull on the old gold shirt.

He was sensational in is first two seasons, and he repaid his £5 million fee (BBC Sport) a long time ago now.

Sadly in 2020/21 Moutinho hasn’t quite been able to replicate the form he showed over the past two years, but there have obviously been issues throughout the team.

2021/22 Moutinho’s swansong?

Moutinho’s contract at Wolves expires in the summer of 2022 according to Transfermarkt, meaning next season could well be his last for the club.

On the basis of this season, it’s perhaps unlikely for him to earn another extension at Molineux.

He will be 36 by the summer of 2022, and very few midfield players still have the legs at that age – especially in the Premier League which is known for its high intensity.

One thing is for certain though, it has so far generally been an absolute pleasure to watch him play for Wolves.
