Wolves have lost the first four games of a league season for the first time in their history, and Nedum Onuoha has pointed out where he thinks their biggest issue lies.
Wolves started the game strong against Newcastle, but ultimately Nick Woltemade’s header in the first-half would be the deciding factor.
The Old Gold’s 1-0 loss featured many poor performances, but there may be one glaring issue with Vitor Pereira’s side, at least in the eyes of Nedum Onuoha.
The former player turned pundit has given his thoughts on the Wanderers, and has picked out their ‘achilles heel.’
Nedum Onuoha says Wolves’ biggest issue is creating chances and scoring goals

It was not a great watch for supporters of the Old Gold as a 1-0 loss against Newcastle compounded on to their disappointments this season.
Nedum Onuoha was also watching and has given his thoughts on Wolves after they slumped to a fourth consecutive Premier League defeat.
The former defender said, “Wolves needed to get a result because that’s four games in a row that they’ve lost, I think for the first time in their history to start the season.”
“I think Wolves started off really well but you could see as the game progressed their Achilles’ heel this season is creating good opportunities, taking chances, scoring goals” he continued.
Wolves have scored just two goals in four games, and both of those came against Everton.
Their inability to create and score will be a big issue, and the data shows that it isn’t just finishing that is the problem.
Stats prove Nedum Onuoha right about Wolves
Onuoha’s analysis can be backed up by data as that confirms what he said.
When it comes to big chances created, the Old Gold have only created two in four games, and rank bottom out of all 20 Premier League teams according to FotMob.
They also rank last for expected goals with just 2.7 xG.
Vitor Pereira’s side have been without star forward Jorgen Strand Larsen in the last two games, which could explain their lack of goals.
However, that would not explain the lack of chances they have created. If Wolves do not start creating in front of goal, then relegation will start to creep up on them.
Pereira needs to find a way to get his side into better areas in the final third, and get them scoring goals sooner rather than later.
