Wolves get their 2025/26 Premier League season underway this weekend, and Micah Richards has dropped his prediction about the club.
Wolves fans are nervous about the coming campaign, with the club having signed just three new players so far.
But Wolves have lost game-changing players, and many believe this could be a real struggle of a season.
Vitor Pereira did a terrific job last term.
But he has his work cut out to deliver again and undoubtedly, it is a huge few weeks for Wolves in the transfer market.
Wolves fans have lamented pre-season, with the team failing to win a game and putting in some poor performances along the way.
Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer think a relegation battle awaits Wolves this season, and Micah Richards has also offered his thoughts.
Micah Richards predicts relegation battle for Wolves, but points to one positive

Wolves start their season against Manchester City on Saturday, and fans are not too optimistic about a result.
City will be looking to lay down a marker earlier, and Erling Haaland will likely be a major threat having scored in all three of his opening fixtures since he joined City.
In the eyes of Micah Richards, Wolves are going to struggle and most likely be involved in a relegation battle.
He said: “I think it’s going to be a tough season for Wolves. One week you watch them and you think, they’ve got the combinations.
“I really like the manager and how confident he is on what he says. I don’t know if the players are good enough to do what he wants to do. I think they’re doing it in little patches, but I think they’ll struggle. I think it’s going to be a relegation battle this year.
“Burnley I worry about a little bit going forward. Not defensively. Wolves I worry about, and Sunderland. Those are my three that I worry about the most this season.”
However, Richards did also offer up one positive for Wolves fans to focus on for the season ahead.
And that is the fact Wolves actually did well in the absence of Cunha last season.
He said: “I mean they dealt without Cunha, you know when he had his red cards and what not, Strand Larsen stepped up massively. It’s different being the main man and the guy that comes in for the main man.”
Wolves currently set for season of struggle
It is difficult to argue against the idea of Wolves battling relegation this season, based on what the squad currently looks like.
There is still time for Wolves to get new players into the club, so fans will hope the recruitment team can deliver, with some help from Jorge Mendes, who Johnny Phillips insists has a great relationship with Wolves at the moment after the departure of Matt Hobbs.

But even a few new additions may not be enough to move Wolves away from trouble come the end of the season.
Ultimately, the losses of Cunha, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Pablo Sarabia are huge. And Nelson Semedo was a great captain and player, and his absence will also be felt.
A lot of output has been lost, and those players can all change a game in an instant as well. So to not have that is concerning.
