Max Kilman has defended the character of his Wolves teammate Daniel Podence, whose incident involving Brennan Johnson is currently being investigated.
The winger was alleged to have spat at the Nottingham Forest player in Saturday’s Premier League clash at the City Ground.

Video footage viewed by VAR showed Podence appeared to spit.
But no red card was given, and after the game, Johnson did play down the incident.
But the FA is conducting an investigation into it (via Independent), and there will hopefully be an outcome soon.
The incident came after Podence had equalised for Wolves, with Johnson scoring for Forest in the first-half.
There were ugly scenes in the game, with coaches Alan Tate and Pablo Sanz both being sent off.
Then there was the incident involving Podence and Johnson.

Kilman spoke after the game about it, and backed his Wolves teammate. He said (Express & Star): “To be honest, I didn’t see it. I was focusing on the game and it happened somewhere on the pitch.
“I didn’t see it but I highly doubt he’d do something like that.
“He’s a very strong character, he’s a very good boy who wants to do well for the team.
“I don’t think he’d so something like that, but I didn’t see it.”
Wolves would be hugely stung to lose Daniel Podence to a ban, hopefully he didn’t do anything
Wolves fans will be praying Podence is cleared of any wrongdoing here.
It would be a major blow for him to be banned.
If he had spat, then the FA should absolutely throw the book at him.

But looking at the footage, it does look as though no actual spit comes out. Some have suggested the 27-year-old was blowing a kiss.
Kilman knows Podence well and you would really, really like to hope the winger wouldn’t do something so disgusting.
