Wolves lost 3-0 to Nottingham Forest to hand Vitor Pereira his first defeat.
Wolves fell short at Molineux, although the 3-0 scoreline was perhaps slightly harsh on Wolves, who created a lot of chances.
Ultimately, Forest were clinical when they needed to be, executing perfect counter-attacks.
They defended really well, and Wolves were made to pay for being poor in the final third and not strong enough at the back.
But it was a performance that contained several positives. Pedro Lima enjoyed a fairly strong debut, and Rodrigo Gomes also impressed for Wolves.
One man who did struggle was Matt Doherty, who made an honest admission after the game.

Doherty admits he’s disappointed with himself after Nottingham Forest display

Wolves should not have been 2-0 down at half-time.
The hosts created several good opportunities, with Jorgen Strand Larsen sadly unable to convert three of them.
Matz Sels was in inspired form for the visitors though, and it was just one of those games.
The second goal was a killer for Wolves, as it came just before half-time and gave them a mountain to climb.
A long ball by Sels found Callum Hudson-Odoi, who then burned Matt Doherty for pace down the Forest left side.
The winger made his way into the box, before cutting back for Chris Wood to score.
After the game, Doherty admitted (via BBC Sport): “I have played wing-back and full-back for a long time but I am enjoying the role I have now. I’m disappointed myself for the second goal, I thought he was offside but you should never assume anything in football. Other than that I am enjoying the role. At the moment, things are going well.”
Poor from Doherty
Doherty did not cover himself in any glory for the second goal by Forest at Molineux last night.
It was slightly naive of him to assume Hudson-Odoi was offside, and in the end, he just sauntered out to him, when he perhaps should have got out to him quick to stop the attack.
Given he was already on a yellow card at that point in the game, he then couldn’t bring him down.
Doherty has been one of Wolves’ best players in recent weeks, and Vitor Pereira will hope he can bounce back from this disappointing showing.
