The main talking point for Wolves after a 2-1 defeat was VAR, however, it is definitely worth mentioning Jean-Ricner Bellegarde’s goal.
VAR has once again stolen the headlines and points from Wolves, with Sheffield United awarded an injury-time penalty to pick up their first win of the season.
But despite the disappointing outcome, Jean-Ricner Bellegarde‘s goal was a thing of beauty which deserves praise.
Speaking during Sky Sports’ soccer Saturday, Sue Smith did just that as she lauded Bellegarde by saying “That’s a great finish from him.”
Due to his wonderful goal, he has been praised by Matheus Cunha.

Cunha sends Bellegarde a message
After scoring his inaugural Wolves goal, Bellegarde took to Instagram with a message.
“Thrilled to score my first goal for @Wolves but sadly it wasn’t enough today. We’ll come back stronger.”
Under neath in the comments, Cunha sent his teammate a message.
“Mr. Haitian, I’m happy for you. Let’s go together.” he wrote followed by celebration emojis.
Top strike – could be the catalyst for his Wolves career kickstart
Bellegarde arrived with high expectations in the summer but before today, a sending-off was his most memorable contribution.
Now however he has begun writing his Wolves career in glory with a wonderful strike.
With Pedro Neto out for a while, there is an opening in the Wolves team which Bellegarde should be keen to take advantage of.
Bellegarde has probably played his way into a start next weekend, as he was very impactful as his goal suggested. Also will be full of confidence, top class.
