What a player, what a person
This was one of the best performances of the season from any Wolves player, potentially the best bar none.
Cunha was sensational against Chelsea, and only three other players have ever scored a hat-trick at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League – Nwankwo Kanu, Robin van Persie and Sergio Aguero. Not only did he score three goals, he also contested the most duels of any player on the field.
It was a special performance, from a player who just gets better and better for Wolves.
He has made huge progress under O’Neil, who must take serious credit for what he has done with the player.
It’s so good to see Cunha thriving at Wolves. He has always been an extremely likable person and his humility is evident in his latest social media post, and it’s certainly hard not to root for someone like him.
