Matheus Cunha makes new Instagram Story post that Wolves fans will love ahead of Newcastle game

Wolves have been without talisman Matheus Cunha for the last two games.

Cunha was recently hit with a suspension by the FA, after being charged for misconduct.

He was involved in a post-game scuffle in the recent match with Ipswich Town that saw him table with one of their members of staff.

Cunha was facing a three-game ban, but it was reduced to two after Cunha had written a letter of apology and offered to buy a new pair of glasses for the staff member.

He was unavailable for the games against Nottingham Forest and Bristol City, but he may not have played anyway, after he picked up an injury against Tottenham Hotspur.

That injury has led some to worry that he could be in doubt to face Newcastle United next week – but Cunha made an encouraging post on social media last night.

Cunha was forced off at half-time in the Premier League game with Tottenham Hotspur.

After the game, Pereira said Cunha told him he ‘felt something’ and had asked to come off.

Following that, Pereira then said Cunha had returned to Brazil to deal with a ‘personal problem’.

But it seems Cunha is now back in Wolverhampton, as last night he uploaded a picture to his Instagram Story.

In the picture, Cunha is alone at a foggy Compton Park with a ball at his feet. He tagged the club’s training ground.

This post will certainly go down well with supporters, knowing that another big game against Newcastle is just around the corner.

Major boost for Wolves if Cunha can play vs Newcastle

It is the sight every Wolves fan hoped to see ahead of the game with Newcastle.

Seemingly, there is a reasonable chance Cunha will be available to play against the Magpies on Wednesday, and it’ll be a major boost if he is involved.

Wins – 0
Draws – 1
Losses – 1
Goals – 0
Assists – 1

Wolves missed their talisman against Forest, and had he featured the scoreline may well have been different, with the hosts very wasteful at Molineux.

Wolves were wasteful again against Bristol City, so hopefully Cunha can come back in and provide the cutting edge that has gone missing in his absence.

So far, Cunha has been having another fantastic season for Wolves, having scored 10 goals in 20 appearances.
