On Saturday, Wolves continued their march up the Premier League table with a 3-0 victory over Leicester City.
Wolves are now Europe’s most in-form team after winning six consecutive games on the bounce as goals from Matheus Cunha, Jorgen Strand Larsen, and Rodrigo Gomes wrapped up the three points.
Cunha, in particular, showed why Vitor Pereira couldn’t drop him from the starting lineup despite strong speculation linking him with a move away.
The Brazilian scored a well-taken goal, assisted by Rayan Ait-Nouri, before laying two chances on a plate for Strand Larsen and Gomes.
That capped off a wonderful performance from the 25-year-old, who showcased why he’s wanted by the league’s powerhouses.

Alan Shearer names Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri in Team of the Week
Cunha has been offered a five-year contract at Man United, and although his future lies elsewhere, his stunning displays for Wolves have continued.
He’s built up a strong connection with Ait-Nouri in the past year or so, and the duo were deservedly selected in Alan Shearer’s Premier League Team of the Week.
When explaining his decision to select Cunha, Shearer said: “Wolves’ main man delivered one again, with a goal and two assists. The Brazilian is such an exciting forward to watch.”
Meanwhile, on Ait-Nouri – who Wolves signed for £10m – he added: “Another strong performance down the left flank from the Algerian, who provided the assist for Cunha’s opener.”
No one could argue against Shearer selecting the duo, but a third Wolves player should have arguably featured in defence.
Emmanuel Agbadou was unlucky to miss out
While Ait-Nouri and Cunha were crucial in attack, centre-back Emmanuel Agbadou was indispensable in defence as he kept his fourth clean sheet in a Wolves shirt.
The aggressive Ivorian marshalled Jamie Vardy’s threat superbly and was near faultless in possession, only misplacing 10 of his 98 passes while playing five accurate long balls.
Emmanuel hitting some big numbers.

The 27-year-old also won possession back superbly, and as highlighted by the Wolves official X account, he made 17 ball recoveries.
Agbadou is outperforming many Premier League stars this term, even Nottingham Forest’s Brazilian sensation Murillo, who is on the radar of Real Madrid.
It was, indeed, another special performance from the defensive powerhouse, and he was unfortunate not to be named in Shearer’s Team of the Week, perhaps ahead of Carlos Baleba or Kieran Trippier.
