Mateus Mane is the talk of the town, after scoring his first goal for Wolves against West Ham United.
Wolves managed to finally get their first win in the Premier League on Saturday, beating the Hammers 3-0 at Molineux.
The result and performance had been coming, after Wolves showed real promise against Liverpool and Manchester United.
Mateus Mane is said to be contracted to Wolves until 2029, not 2027! Thoughts, Wolves fans?
It's been claimed today that Wolves tied him down to an extended deal when he turned 18 👀
For once, the Old Gold were ruthless in front of goal, and kept things tight at the back as Rob Edwards finally got his first points on the board as manager.

Mateus Mane had been practising the goal he scored vs West Ham

Mane has been a total breath of fresh air since he started getting first-team chances this season.

“In training I’ve been practising being on the half turn, and shooting between players’ legs, so the goalkeeper is off, and they can’t see it.”
Rob Edwards also said that Mane was already showing leadership at Wolves, with his infectious energy,

It was the kind of goal we got used to seeing from Wolves’ former talisman Matheus Cunha, who would often find the net from that kind of position.
Cunha was always so good at getting on the half-turn, driving to the box and then unleashing a shot, and Mane appears to have that quality in his locker too.
