Wolves battled back from two goals down to take a point against Brighton on Saturday in what could turn out to be a huge result.
Wolves were stung by a late goal by John Stones in the game before against Manchester City.
That prompted despair, but it was ecstasy on Saturday with Matheus Cunha scoring for Wolves in injury-time to complete a brilliant comeback against the Seagulls.
Wolves were 2-0 down on 85 minutes after goals from Danny Welbeck and Evan Ferguson, and were seemingly about to go three down when Brighton came forward in a four-on-one attack.
But Tommy Doyle made a crucial intervention and released Cunha, whose strike deflected in off Jan Paul van Hecke.
It was a great moment for Wolves fans, who have not had a great deal to cheer about this term.
On Match of the Day 2 last night, Micah Richards and Stephen Warnock were both in agreement about Wolves’ fate this season.
Micah Richards and Stephen Warnock back winless Wolves to survive relegation

Some fans were left enthused by Wolves’ second-half performance against Brighton.
Gary O’Neil set his side up with a back three and wing-backs again initially, like he did against Manchester City.
But at half-time, he changed the shape, which allowed Wolves to become more attacking and expansive.
It led to an improved performance, and the Wolves manager admitted after the game that he was disappointed in himself for starting with a back three.
Wolves may still be winless, but both Micah Richards and Stephen Warnock believe Wolves are going to be OK this season, despite one historical statistic suggesting it could be touch and go.
Asked which of the three currently winless teams will survive, Richards said: “I would say Wolves. I think their experience in the Premier League. I think the quality of player that they have. Strand Larsen up front, Ait-Nouri at the back. Cunha as well, Joao Gomes in midfield.
“They were 2-0 down against Brighton and came back. (That) will give them a bit of confidence. I would go with Wolves just because of their experience.”
Warnock added: “I’m going with the same. I just think the inexperience of Ipswich and the naivety of Southampton. I just think Gary O’Neil will be more confident in his squad to get the results to stay up.”
Wolves should be fine
There is no way Wolves should be in a relegation battle come the end of the season with the quality of players in that squad.
Wanderers had the hardest start of any Premier League side this season, but the fixtures list will now ease up for O’Neil and the hope is that the wins will now start to come.
O’Neil has received the backing from the Wolves board, and he needs to repay their faith. Other owners may not have been so patient.

The goal Cunha scored really does have the potential to serve as a catalyst now. Against Crystal Palace this week, the players need to take the confidence of having battled back against Brighton and just go for it in front of the home crowd.
And when January comes around, Wolves need to bring in a new centre-back.
It has been a tough old start to 2024/25. But this could now be the turning point and hopefully, the faith in O’Neil will not turn out to be misplaced.
