Match of the Day pundit Martin Keown has expressed his surprise at Wolverhampton Wanderers star Adama Traore’s recent goal drought.
The Spaniard was actually key to victory for Wolves on Friday night against Leeds United.

It was his shot from range that hit the crossbar, before hitting the back of Illan Meslier and trickling over the line.
Unfortunately it can’t be his goal, and he really needed it to be.
For Traore has really struggled on the goalscoring front in recent times.
MORE WOLVES STORIES
He hasn’t found the net in the league since netting twice against Manchester City in December 2019.

Speaking for many Wolves fans last night on Match of the Day (11.23pm), Keown said: “I love watching this player (Traore) play. You cannot believe there’s no goals in 43 matches in the Premier League and no assists this season. That doesn’t go down as an assist.”
Keown’s comments come after he famously said last year (talkSPORT, January 2020) that Traore had been ‘like a learner driver in a Ferrari’ before coming into better form at the time.
Frustrating Traore
It is so hard to believe Traore has gone so long without a goal in the Premier League.

The £18 million man (BBC Sport) was extremely unlucky not to be credited with the one against Leeds, but it rightfully doesn’t count as his and the wait goes on.
He is obviously a massive threat, and if he can just rediscover that end product again, Wolves will be laughing.
The ex-Barcelona man has certainly looked a lot better featuring from the left, so perhaps that will be the key to getting him firing again.
