Wolves are today licking their wounds after an absolute hammering by Brighton.
Julen Lopetegui’s side turn in their worst performance under the Spaniard to date, and arguably one of the worst by any team in the Premier League this season.

Wanderers lost 6-0 at the Amex Stadium.
The result came out of nowhere, especially because Roberto De Zerbi started Kaoru Mitoma, Alexis Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo on the bench.
Wolves, on a high from beating Crystal Palace in midweek, were supposed to be taking another big step towards mathematical safety.
But it was an atrocious performance, and in truth Brighton could have hit double figures.
Wolves simply couldn’t keep the ball, and gifted Brighton most of their goals.
Lopetegui switched to a 4-3-3 and pushed his full-backs high and it just didn’t work. Brighton completely outplayed Wolves.

Last night on Match of the Day, there was mostly just praise for Brighton and how they demolished Wolves.
Former Premier League defender Keown analysed the goals.
There was hardly a mention for Wolves. But at one point Keown did name the only Wolves player he felt could emerge with any kind of credit. It was when he was talking about a chance Pervis Estupinan had.
He said: “Wolves didn’t turn up today. The movement, pace (from Brighton), great ball in and he’s through here. (Pedro) Neto, probably the only player for Wolves who did do anything today gets back to block it.”
Pedro Neto probably was the only Wolves player to show anything in Brighton rout
It felt like a lot of Wolves players just stopped playing yesterday and that some were just waiting for the end of the game.
Neto probably was the only player for Wolves to show anything yesterday.

He was by no means good. But he did at least show a willingness to get on the ball and he tried to make things happen. For that he deserves some credit.
His tracking back to block the Estupinan chance when Wolves were already losing badly was good to see.
