Wolves beat Tottenham at Molineux to move higher than 17th place for the first time this season.
Vitor Pereira made Premier League history at Wolves as his side secured their fourth league win in a row.
After Wolves beat Spurs 4-2, joyous scenes adorned Molineux as Pereira celebrated with his squad and fans as the Old Gold took yet another step in the right direction.
Wolves are almost mathematically safe from relegation thanks to their resurgence under Pereira, something that couldn’t have happened without the vast array of talent in the squad.

Mario Lemina hails Toti Gomes after Wolves win
Almost every player in the Wolves squad has benefited from Pereira’s arrival, few as much as centre-back Toti Gomes.
Toti was criticised at the start of the season, a narrative that the defender has turned around, having found peace under Pereira’s guidance.
Against Tottenham, Toti was one of Wolves’ top performers, standing strong at the back as he won 100% of his aerial duels and recorded nine defensive contributions, as per Sofascore.
Wolves fans were left impressed by the 26-year-old’s display, and they weren’t the only ones, as a familiar face reacted to the centre-back’s heroics.
In a comment under Toti’s Instagram post, former Wolves captain Mario Lemina shared his new nickname for his ex-teammate, writing, “My wall.”
Lemina, who dramatically left Wolves in January, wasn’t the only one to send well wishes to the Portuguese ace after the win, as his comments were flooded with praise.
- Matheus Cunha: You…speechless for a while.
- Emmanuel Agbadou: Lion
- Nelson Semedo: It’s a war machine
- Joao Gomes: Monster
- Rodrigo Gomes: What a player
How Mario Lemina is doing at Galatasaray after dramatic Wolves exit
Toti’s resurgence has been one of the stories of the season, and on a negative note, so has Lemina’s exit.
After Lemina’s bust-up at the London Stadium, the Gabon international saw no way back at Wolves, creating a rather ugly scene to force a transfer.

Pereira revealed that Lemina refused to play, paving the way for his exit to Galatasaray.
Lemina hasn’t yet secured his starting position at Galatasaray but has made an impact going forward, contributing to two goals in nine appearances for the Lions.
As the Turkish giants lead the Super Lig table, it’s possible that the former Wolves captain’s season could end in silverware, something very few would’ve predicted at the start of the campaign.
