Wolves beat Aston Villa 2-0 on Saturday to climb out of the relegation zone – and Mario Lemina was left impressed by two of his teammates.
Wolves beat Villa with a fantastic performance at Molineux, with the backline especially impressive.
Toti Gomes returned to the starting XI, which prompted Emmanuel Agbadou to shift into the middle, with Matt Doherty on the right.
The three of them were fantastic, and Wolves had enough firepower up top to get the job done.
Jean-Ricner Bellegarde enjoyed his best performance in a Wolves shirt to date, and got the team’s first.
Matheus Cunha then wrapped up the points in injury-time with a brilliant goal.
There was no Mario Lemina again for Wolves, but the former skipper was watching – and had his eye caught by two players.
Mario Lemina praises Wolves goalscorers after win over Aston Villa

It was a huge result for Wolves, who are out of the relegation zone again with the victory.
A big performance was required and potentially, it was the best from a defensive standpoint all season.
But the players making the headlines are the goalscorers Bellegarde and Cunha.
Vitor Pereira admitted Bellegarde surprised him in the win over Aston Villa, and plenty of Wolves fans will likely share those sentiments. The Frenchman now needs to build some consistency.
It was also great to see Cunha back to somewhere near his best, after a few poor performances lately.
Both Bellegarde and Cunha were the subject of an Instagram post from Mario Lemina after the game, with the midfielder taking to his Story.
Sharing Wolves’ full-time post and tagging both players, he wrote ‘JRB THANK YOU’ and also described Cunha as a ‘Baller’.
Lemina could yet leave Wolves
Pereira said Lemina wouldn’t play for Wolves while the transfer window was still open, and his situation is still being sorted out.
The Saudi window has now closed so he won’t be heading to Al-Shabab.
But Lemina has been linked with Galatasaray this month and so there could be scope for him heading there.
Italian club Torino were also credited with an interest in Lemina.
So he could yet leave and ideally, he will depart given everything that’s happened over the last few weeks or so. Wolves have clearly shown they can do just fine without him.
