Matheus Cunha’s return to Wolves is set to take place on Monday after leaving in the summer transfer window.
Wolves’ first win of the season is yet to be secured, and at this stage, it might just require a miracle to happen if the Nottingham Forest performance was anything to go by.
Matheus Cunha’s exit has been felt more than anyone else. His 17 goals and six assists last season pretty much kept Wolves in the Premier League.
But, in typical Wolves style, they decided to invest in young, unproven players who have no experience in the Premier League or even at a high level, which has resulted in absolute carnage.
Tolu Arokodare has looked bright at times, but doesn’t exactly fill you with confidence, whilst Fer Lopez has spent most of his time as a spectator, and the less said the better about Jhon Arias.
However, things haven’t been straightforward for Matheus Cunha personally either.

Manchester United fans slam Matheus Cunha’s display vs West Ham
Matheus Cunha made his return from a slight knock for Manchester United against West Ham, but it didn’t exactly go to plan.
His performance was quite symptomatic of his season so far. He has just one goal to his name after making the move to Old Trafford for around £62.5 million.
