All eyes are on Matheus Nunes at the moment after he decided to go on strike at Wolves amid transfer interest from Manchester City.
The midfielder has not trained with the first-team since the Everton game.
Nunes was not permitted to not train, and he will face disciplinary action from the club if he does not leave before Friday’s transfer deadline.
Nunes’ actions have prompted a big response in the football community.
This morning, Ally McCoist slammed the Portuguese maestro for not training.
And a bit later on on talkSPORT, Simon Jordan gave Nunes both barrels…
Simon Jordan absolutely blasts Matheus Nunes for striking at Wolves amid Manchester City interest
Perhaps inevitably, Jordan as now given this dramatic situation his thoughts.
And he is very much on the side of the club.

He ranted against Nunes this morning: “This is a ludicrous situation. Fine, you’ve signed a contract, at this moment in time. When you sign that contract you’re of sound body and mind and you wanted to sign that contract for X amount of economics and time. Now the circumstances have changed. Something else suits you.
“That’s not really a legitimate reason in any sane man’s mind to say that’s a strikable situation.
“In this situation, I think it is incumbent on Wolves to spell out the facts of life to this kid. ‘You will do as you’re damn well told, and if Man City pay £60 million, you can go, we’ll send you round in a cab. If they don’t pay £60 million, you’re not going’.”
“Right now, Wolverhampton Wanderers have his registration, it is their gift. Because his agent didn’t put a release clause in his contract. His responsibility is to do as he’s damn well told.
“For the good of football, Wolves should be sat there, and for the wellbeing of their football club and solidity of their management structure, they should be reminding him of who’s in control at this moment in time. Because they are.”
Simon Jordan nails it regarding Matheus Nunes
Jordan is often divisive with his opinions about things in football, but it’s hard to disagree with anything he says here about Nunes.
Nunes striking is absolutely embarrassing behaviour.
He signed a contract with Wolves, and Wolves are demanding a price that City are not willing to pay just at the moment.

Nunes is striking in order to put pressure on Wolves to lower their demands.
The thing Wolves need to consider now is whether it would actually be worth keeping Nunes if he does not want to be at the club, but City were not going to reach the valuation.
