Wolverhampton Wanderers take on Leeds United this weekend in the Premier League.

After taking three more, very dramatic, points against Aston Villa, Bruno Lage is seeking a fourth straight victory, and fifth in six games.

Wolves are coming into form now after a rocky start.

The three 1-0 defeats to open with left some supporters feeling a little concerned.

Performances have not been great recently but, vitally, the players are now getting points on the board.

On Saturday Wolves go to Elland Road to take on Leeds, who have been struggling.

Marcelo Bielsa’s Whites have won just one game so far in the Premier League.

It is therefore a big opportunity to keep this purple patch going.

And Leeds are set to be without a number of key players.

Bielsa has today said (Yorkshire Evening Post) that Saturday’s game will come too soon for England midfielder Kalvin Phillips.

Patrick Bamford remains unavailable with an ankle injury.

And Luke Ayling is working his way back from a minor knee operation.

Robin Koch and Junior Firpo are also out.

Wolves must capitalise

It is hugely unfortunate for Leeds to have this many key players unavailable at once.

Wolves, therefore, have to capitalise as Leeds field some of their fringe players.

Kalvin Phillips in particular is a big loss. The England midfielder is a fantastic player for them in their engine room.

Wolves’ fixture list gets pretty difficult in December. It is, therefore, vital to pick up as many points as possible before reaching that period.
