Latest Fabio Silva update will delight Wolves officials ahead of summer transfer window

Fabio Silva is rather enjoying himself over in La Liga, after leaving Wolves on loan for Las Palmas last year.

It had been expected that Fabio Silva would leave Wolves permanently in the last summer window.

But that didn’t end up happening, presumably because no suitable offers came in.

Silva joined Las Palmas on deadline day, and the purpose of the loan was very simple; for Silva to play regularly, and score regularly.

Because Wolves expect to sell Silva this summer, so a productive 2024/25 campaign will be key in helping the club to try and make as much money back on him as possible.

Silva is doing well, and there is some news now that will please Molineux officials.

Silva has been in good form lately for Las Palmas, who are currently under the threat of relegation.

Silva has reached 10 goals, becoming only the third player to manage that feat this century for Las Palmas, after Jonathan Viera and Kevin-Prince Boateng.

In the last two games, Silva has scored two goals and provided an assist.

His assist was for Oli McBurnie in Las Palmas’ 3-1 defeat to Real Sociedad, and the two goals he scored came in a 3-1 win over Getafe. Over his two games so far his month, Silva has an average rating with SofaScore of 7.75.

That win over Getafe was big for Las Palmas, who leapfrogged Leganes in the table – they are now just a point off safety.

Wolves sending Silva to Las Palmas was a great call

It was perhaps slightly frustrating for Wolves that they couldn’t move Silva on last summer.

But it’s feeling like there could now be a very good chance Silva will be sold later this year – and for decent money too.

Eintracht Frankfurt are keen on Silva, and a number of other clubs across Europe are also taking a look.

Silva has actually already won one U23s Player of the Month this season, and now he could potentially win another.

This positivity around the player can only be good news for Wolves ahead of the summer, and hopefully he can continue making an impact for Las Palmas.

What would be really ideal is if Silva can have a big few weeks now, and help keep Las Palmas in the top flight – that would really help raise his stock.
