Wolves’ squad depth concerns have been somewhat eased with the arrival of versatile Czech defender Ladislav Krejci.
Earlier this week, Ladislav Krejci was officially revealed as a Wolves player.
He arrives at Molineux on an initial season-long loan, which will be made permanent next summer.
The former Czech League Player of the Season joins Wolves as a central defender, but he is capable of stepping into midfield for Vitor Pereira as well.
Ladislav Krejci reveals what Vitor Pereira said to him when he arrived at Wolves
New signings rarely get much time to themselves in the first days at a new club, and it was no different for Krejci.
Members of the Wolves media team accompanied him throughout, with one asking how long he has known about the move.
He replies: “Uh to be honest, like the first contact, just the questions with agents and the club like one week maybe, yeah.
“But when I spoke with the coach, he said he had interest from the last season, from January.”
Pereira would sign Emmanuel Agbadou in the winter window, but it seems Krejci was also on his mind.
Vitor Pereira listed plenty of positives when asked about new signing Ladislav Krejci
In his pre-match press conference ahead of Everton, Pereira was asked about his new defender.
He praised the Czech’s ability to play in both defence and midfield, suggesting this isn’t solely a purchase for the back three.

Pereira highlights Krejci’s technical ability and says he values his physicality, which he thinks was a pitfall for Wolves last season.
Lastly, he mentions Krejci’s experience as a captain and leader, suggesting he could be another star to join the leadership group within the team.
Krejci could be available to play against Everton and show why Pereira has so much faith in his ability.
