Wolverhampton Wanderers were easily beaten 4-0 by Burnley yesterday in the Premier League.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side put in a hugely disappointing performance at Molineux.

Ahead of kick-off, the team was gunning for a third straight victory for the first time this season.
But there was never any danger of Wolves getting three points yesterday, the performance was that bad.
It was the kind of showing that actually would have set alarm bells ringing for executive chairman Jeff Shi, and it seems he was indeed far from happy with what he saw yesterday.

According to journalist Alex Dicken who was in attendance yesterday, Shi was visibly displeased.
He tweeted: “Jeff Shi had a face like thunder and was first to leave the directors box at the final whistle. Major changes needed to this squad over the summer because this isn’t good enough.”
All in all, it was probably one of the worst days at the office for Wolves under Nuno.
Investment needed
To try and put a positive spin on yesterday, perhaps the performance will be an indicator to Shi that investment is needed this summer to get the club back on track and in contention for Europe again.

Some players are proving they aren’t quite good enough, and arguably, the average age of the squad needs raising.
There are a lot of youngsters at the moment, and there needs to be players with a bit more experience and quality for Nuno to work with.
