Gary O’Neil suspension confusion

There were plenty of positives to take from Saturday’s performance. Despite the club being amidst an injury crisis Gary O’Neil’s side managed to pull off a narrow 2-1 victory over Fulham at Molineux.

However, during the second half, there was confusion on whether the manager picked up his third yellow card of the season. This would have meant that O’Neil would have had a touchline ban for the FA Cup quarter-final against Coventry.

Journalist Liam Keen cleared this up in the week and confirmed that the manager did not pick up a yellow card.

Wolves have had multiple important players coming through their academy. In recent years, Robbie Keane, Morgan Gibbs-White and Jack Price.

The next player aiming to break into the starting XI is Nathan Fraser. The striker has already played a big role this season, scoring in both cups and making his full Premier League debut last game.

However, if he wants to cement himself as a regular in the lineup, he may want to follow in the footsteps of Gibbs-White.

In the 2-1 victory over Fulham, multiple players stood out. Rayan Ait-Nouri netted the first and was a threat throughout the entire game occupying multiple areas on the pitch.

Then there was Joao Gomes who dominated the midfield in the second half and helped Wolves stay on the front foot throughout.

However, the man that caught Shearer’s attention was Jose Sa. The ‘keeper made multiple key saves throughout the game and most certainly won Wolves the three points.
